Offset Press Operator Trainee

Greenhaven Printing (Shoreview, MN) is looking for a Pressman with sheetfed press experience, preferably Heidelberg Speedmaster. This job is on first shift Monday through Friday 6am – 2pm. Additional opportunities for overtime available. Responsible for press setup and operation. Emphasis on quality, Productivity, safety, house cleaning and maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review of job instructions and preparation of job materials for printing.
  • Understanding and use of data collection system.
  • Make Ready according to schedule, check color, content, imposition and review rule ups according to the proofs.
    Notify supervisor/manager of any issues or errors immediately.
  • Make sure time pulled sheets are inspected and initialed.
  • Equipment Maintenance (includes workspace cleanliness and organization)
  • Bring unresolved or continuing problems to the attention of management/supervisor.
  • Work in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees. Follow all safety policies including the use
    of PPE’s, proper lifting, and handling of chemicals.
  • Fast paced environment focused on quality and production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Working effectively with co-workers by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Be able to accept directions from supervisor, management, and coworkers to improve on quality and production.

  • Ability to perform basic math {addition, subtraction, multiplication, division}
